"Thai heart..."
As we go about our day to day millions of people around the world exist as slaves. Trafficked from poverty, stolen and purchased from families, bound in sweatshops, sold to perversion, etc. What we have is a world that demands everything from us when so many receive so little.
Thailand is a nation we’ve been called to where the pain of human trafficking rages. For centuries it has been a nation of prostitution lacking fathers. For decades it has served the lust of men and women from North America and Europe – lusts designed to steal innocence and destroy lives. Children are raped in the streets and men and women turn to prostitution either because of force or as a means to quick financial gain. And the effects are seen throughout the nation: a sickness that trades on many faces.
The men and women of Mosaic Christian Fellowship have a deep heart for Thailand. As part of this small and vital congregation the friends at CandisArt share this hope. The hope that clearly speaks: “a Shelter for the victims; a Caregiver for the discarded; a Father for the orphans.”
We’ve been called to bring the message of Jesus Christ to Thailand – a vision that speaks to the gathering and protection of children in the Life that is Christ Jesus. It’s like this: in a land of darkness a flicker of light reaches every corner of the room. In a nation of defilement a living God is necessary.
Because of this proceeds from CandisArt will be supporting new and current missions in Thailand. We hope to build necessary orphanages; we hope to see children saved and healed; we hope to raise the forsaken into a generation of disciples; we hope to hear a nation cry for God. We hope expectantly.
